I am helping a company develop a new business line linked to 3d, so reverse engineering, digital manufacturing, design and communication.

through one of the founding members we have access to extremely competent resources in the cad sector, but they have other activities and do not specifically deal with kings so we would like to develop internal skills.

We start from basic competence of the 3d polygonal, received the scanner already have a request for king of a pair of glasses to make an example, but the next will be scanning and king of a marine propeller.

question: compared to specialized sw like geomagic, 3dreshaper that however cost much more, sc can do to our case in terms of functionality and rapid understanding? worries a little not to find almost no community linked to this tool.

However in synthesis spaceclaim is a software that is aiming a lot to the king and 3d printing for a couple of years.
is a software that aims at simplicity, suitable for the manipulation of 3d geometries of which it is not "history", then imported from other cad/scanners.

there are many software that work well with the surfaces, some also free (but complicated), but there they stop... if you want to create a distinct base of components, make a table setting or do something out of work on surfaces are not then suitable.

if even the manipulation of mechanical geometries is an area that interests you, you are interested in an integrated rendering, table setting and documentation could do to your case. Try it!

I take the post hoping for an answer... .
I also collaborate with a company that deals with the design of frames and motorcycle engines...... .spaceclaim can give me a hand for reverse ingineering after scanning and for a consequent realization of surfaces...and solids?visto that as cam they use sprutcam know what spaceclaim is ideal and I would like to try it, but in the meantime I would also like to understand if it's worthwhile I let it be a priori.... .
