Recently I am using sc to simplify the geometry of some flow regulators for thermotechnical systems (to simulate then in cfd environment): for reasons of confidentiality I can't put anything on the forum, but if it may be helpful you can contact me at signature references (not tomorrow morning that I am on the move).
in principle you advance that after a bit of practice I started using very little automated functions (e.g. "extend internal volume") and increasingly manual modeling, which is really very powerful and willy.
