spiral 3d variable section

Good morning, everyone! ! !
I need your help.. .they are struggling with a 3d model of the mvrdv project anyang peak (I attach here the link http:/www.archinfo.it/anyang-peak/0.1254.53_art_2243.00.html)
the problem is that I can't make a variable section 3d spiral (profile).
Would someone know how to help me?

Hi.
It's not a trivial operation if you don't fully know the modeling tools.
I would act like that.
Based on the plant (image 1 of the link you attached) I would position a series of sections of the catwalk at various quotas. these sections will be rectangles converted into nurbs and duplicated and rotated according to the course.
Then, with the loft tool I would combine them so as to generate the spiral. The closer the sections are, the greater the accuracy of the loft.

mh, "or" I missed... You know when they interrupt you and lose the wire? :
I thought of an extrusion along the way. but building a similar path with a nurbs is not very simple. I think the loft is better.
