Hello everyone,
I have a little strange problem that I hope someone can help me solve.

I would need to divide the area in red (fig.1) in an equal way (long the blue line) to the one reported in the left area as, subsequently, on the outer contour I need to make a regular mesh (made of rectangular elements).

to do this I had thought of creating a line and using the command "divide---area by line".

created the line and used this command displays the error:

" current ansys geometry failed to support boolean operations. See list
error window for details. "

a text file is recommended for using the splot command

adopting this command to the area of interest (fig.2) I get the result of fig.3.

Is there something wrong with surfaces?

Sorry again.
I would also have the need to realize on the parts that overlap "equal" mesh for obvious reasons: with different mesh I would get different results.

Is there a command or procedure that allows you to do this?

the problem is reported in the annexed pdf.
if I realize two mesh for each single area then the two, in fact, do not coincide, and therefore, do not overlap.
suggestions?

Why should you make mesh coincide?
Can't you handle this with a contact?

in any case the boolean operations in classic ansys are not very robust... and sometimes you find yourself with strange mistakes.

I have the need to make mesh coincide on the areas that overlap (i.e. knots must coincide)because if so I would not have two completely independent structures and my need is to measure deformations.

so I have to discuss the areas in the same way, and, possibly, I have to avoid contact because it was not at all used in the previous model and I do not know how to handle it sincerely.

ps: it suggested the software to control the bad surfaces with the splot command, in fact if I use it on the area concerned I get out the result reported in pdf some posts ago.

to the limit if you use a contact like ptrei manage?
use of this level of ansys I have not contemplated it in any examination.

of this step my thesis as poor mechanical engineer I see it more and more distant.

Now I should meshare the model but how can I make the mesh of the overlapping areas coincide?
should you copy the mesh or there is an ad hoc command?
