Hello everyone,
I explain my problem: I have the obj file of a laser-made groove, my intent is to subtract the geometry from a cube so as to get the negative of the processing and then print it via 3d printer.
the bottom problem is that with Boolean operations I can't get what I want because the sw doesn't allow me to select the geometry to be subtracted, I tried both in rhino and with meshmixer, I also tried by converting the obj file into step, but nothing.
in the forum I found old posts where it was suggested, through a video, to convert the stl file through the use of path (in rhino) but the result obtained is not the hoped one, most likely because the surface of the model is very jagged.
I attach image of the obj file and pattern I would like to get.
I thank those who can help me and apologize if I have not been very clear, but I am not very experienced.
