structural analysis on wooden beams

Hello to all of you.
I am going to perform a structural analysis with inventor 2009 on the elements of a wooden structure. the first thing I know is that the material is missing (any type of wood for the moment would be good) and also, more importantly, on long beams (from 5 meters onwards) even with simple loads (simple bendings) the solver does not give me any solution showing a message of error. I wonder if it ever happened to you and if, by chance, inventor pro 2010 could solve these two problems (material and slender structures).

with 2011 you have the possibility to do analysis on the assemblies (already 2010) and in addition you can make calculation with filiform elements (typical of structures with beams and columns). wood, however, does not exist as material for calculations. probably due to the fact that the mechanical characteristics of the wood vary a lot depending on the essences used. ask the wood supplier the technical boards you intend to use and create the material with the style editor.

I could try, first of all the installation inv pro 2010, hoping that it has the same characteristics, from the stress analysis point of view, of the 2011 version mentioned by you. I therefore ask you if the 2010 version is compatible with windows 7. I also ask you to have some more information about the possibility of creating the material of interest, which with inv 2009, in the past, I have failed to do.
