Hello everyone,
I have a doubt about the realization of a structure to simulate on solidworks simulation. My structure has several square tubes and different profiles for the various beams and the pillars present and all these structural elements are framed together.... is the same thing to represent them as a single body (see that they are all framed!) or should I realize them separately and assemble them as a recess?

What do you mean, stuck? or that are coupled with faces?
generally the unique body creates fewer problems (incastro = continuity) but you have to be careful. For example, a plate coupled to another plate by perimeter welding cannot be considered as a system made by a single body.

and others are coupled with faces...but if there are perimeter welds it would affect the results (in case they were neglected)?

If they're interlinking, it's a problem.
You need to fix the geometry.
the perimeter welding compared to an ink type coupling could give different values as well as not.
depends on geometry and how the loads are placed.

geometry is important to make a good calculation and, usually, the preparation of the model is the focal point. from my experience, a good 70% of the calculation is to be lost on geometry (even more).
therefore never take for good the 3d of the various cads, check them because the compnetrations, the geometric tolerances of coupling can generate important errors.

However I have the drawings in the plant and 3d of the structure and I have provided to realize the model... so I must be careful that the various profiles communicate with each other through faces and not by intermingling?

and yes.
depends on how you did the model.
For example, I also get structures made with solid works or solid edge using structure commands (I design the sketch and then extrude with the various profiles) but they all get dirty so much that I remake them ex novo.

ah...forget, I have another doubt...the structure that I have to analyze is constituted by some parts that I have realized separately. . Should constraints be specified during assembly (in assembly) or in the simulation part in the constraints section?
