Good evening to all,
I've been wondering for some time now that I've been whipping around my head about speed problems with access to files at work. we do not have a dedicated server but in ut we are 3 designers and some programmers who do not engage the server. There is also an archive of commercial (1 person).
Below is the directory scheme of the server:
fundamentally the structure reflects the philosophy of encoding components: each folder in green, which contains the sldw files, represents a category type indicated by the upper-level folder.
my doubt is that this type of structure, too rigorous and ramified, greatly slows access to files. to reduce the problem I would like to propose to use a dedicated server and reduce the directory levels as much as possible. ideal for me would be the use of a pdm and sldw files stored all within a same directory.
I thank you so far for your availability, your comments and advice.
