hello to all, I have started from a few weeks to use vw 2013 student version without encountering too many problems, until I had to design a frame structure in ca. (the object I would like to create is a structure of this type: http://design.rootiers.it/2009/filesutenti/34/struttura01.jpg )

My question is:
Once I have inserted the concrete pillars there is the "trave" parametric command in such a way that the beams then dialogue with the pillars (chosing then materials and section of the beam in ca)?
or am I forced to manually model the beams through polygons?

thanks in advance

Hi.
I can't see your image, unfortunately.
as parametric objects find the mettallic profiles.
but you can create your beams with the parametric sole object, which you can layer, and which dialogues with the walls and pillars.
I do.

Hello and welcome. from the image you posted I would think of organizing many lucid designs how many plans are. I would create the grid of the pillars as high as the planes and consequently use the command element orditure setting a form derived from a personal symbol. the symbol is an entity that becomes a resource. to create it drawings in 2d the section to you more consons and then with cmd+7 create the symbol (which in this case is only 2d). then create the trim element and the palette information manually select your form-section given by the symbol.

I hope I've been helpful, if there are other ways I'll write to you.

Good job
