suitable topographic surface railing

Hello, everyone!
My problem today is as follows: How can I adapt a railing to a subregion, a topographic surface...which has many variations in altitude??? the topographic surface can not be set as a host for the railing and I can not even create a platform for the same (because it is a downhill ski track ring and fitting all the altitude variations is from suicide!!! )

first glance, if you want to give up the use of railings, you have to use the in-place design.
for a more appropriate advice you need to see:
- the type of railing
- the path of the topographic surface

I can't give up the railing, because I have to create a fence to protect the ski slope!
excuse my ignorance but in-place design what is it?
