I would like to lay a flat surface on a curve, so that the points inserted on the original surface (the flat) always remain at the same distance.

I'm struggling to figure out exactly what you want. . .
If I refer to the link you posted, I see examples of
optimized panels for surfaces. . .
an approach to doing this is the use of udf or
power copy... But maybe there's nothing to do with it. .
if I could be clearer, maybe synthesising
with a sketck....

Sorry. tomorrow if I can put a sketch.
I must in practice realize a surface on which to insert steel panels curved to warm size of 50cmxcm. the sides remain straight and among them orthogonal. So I need a set of points that meet the above requirements.

I looked at some paramod.net tutorials. I think powercopy would do to my case.
I could define a grid of equidistant points and then apply the panels for points. As soon as I can do something decent, I will post the result. .
