Hello, everyone. I'm an engineering student. I have to do the thermostructural analysis of a piston. being symmetrical I wanted to analyze only half piston and set symmetry constraints. Therefore I must set constraints of geometric symmetry, thermal and pressure. Can anyone help me? Thank you so much!

at the cost of looking a little acid dear boys before taking in hand any fem I highly recommend you to study.
Here are the basics, and I do not think this forum should serve to teach such basic things. . .

in any case try to think of a symmetry plan: according to you the material (or better knots) on this plane how could you move? What degrees of freedom would they have? Think.. .
