using tekla it is possible to insert different designs, such as
Gears, trees?
Thank you.

Hello titurbina,
I am an engineer specializing in metal carpentry and I know very well tekla structures.
I'm sorry to see your post now.
then the question is not very clear, however I will try to answer you exhaustively.
in the 3d model it is possible to insert objects from external software using interchange formats (iges type, step and ifc). the software in question, among other things, if it is necessary, attaches to each object inserted a brand, defined by the user. equal objects will have the same brand, different brands objects.
if instead you intend to insert in the part of drawings (so not in 3d) also drawings of other software, in this case it is enough to enter the drawing and make it matter from dwg.

very interesting I am going to abandon solidworks, not only in mechanical carpentry, but also in general mechanics, too small and then it is useless to have a parameterization pushed if to realize the drawings I need more time, not to mention the separate management part. my request is in the direction of being able to introduce through the parameterization of the new profiles that could be the section of a gear and then manage it as a normal tekla detail. Thank you.

Then I suggest you look a little on the internet if tekla can do it for you.
In any case, since you have experiences with solidworks (which I know a little too) I remember some differences:
1_tekla does not analyse movement
2_tekla does not make 3d
3_tekla makes automatic drawings of each single piece (normal), and of the welded pieces together (constructive), but it still needs a, although relatively modest, intervention by the operator (especially for the share of the constructors)
4_the distinct, if 3d modeling is done well, in fact they are very fast and precise
5_tekla is not able to handle molds or however many irregular geometries. to understand all that is not possible to express with 2 sections is not feasible (for example you can not model directly in tekla a pelton shovel and I find it difficult to model also a sheet obtained by funnel) but you can import from other software as mentioned before.
6_tekla is not linked to computing software like solidwarks.
for the rest gears, flanges, shafts and pistons can be inserted in tekla, even if you still have to pass in some cases at least by a dwg I imagine (I get headaches only to the thought of creating a parametric gear in tekla ).
For the rest it is quite versatile software, I also realized a water system and one disposal for a mozambique village:wink:. even if it is not exactly his "work" behaved very well .
