Sorry if I've already put a post in another section but I haven't solved my doubt yet, I hope someone can help me. There should be a formula to calculate how much material I can remove from the inside of a round profile, full, without creating excessive stress to the material. Do you know anything?

the theory of pressure cylinders could be a start but my pieces are not exactly cylinders, gift cylinders worked obtained for turning and have openings on cylindrical faces.
