ferrezio was telling you that unfortunately (if not for a fee) in catia there is no possibility to enter the schetcher and write a text then make a pad or a pocket............... .
cmq the lap practically is this you must write a 2d text or use the drafting of caia or autocad or any other cad, then create the dxf of the text you need, the important thing is that the dxf does not contain the text as text but that the text is composed of lines (or polylinee) ... practically a text "exploded".
Of course you have to use texts that have a "spessor" , which are not unifilari .
do this open the dxf in caia (in drafting) select the text you need to copy and paste it into the caia schetcher, you practically have to find the geometry of the text in the catia sketch .
Surely it won't be in the correct position, take the command and move it wherever you want.................. go out of the sketch and create or the pad or the pocket and you will find the text in the 3d
you then seem to me that you were making a watch, possibly you could draw the dial with the numbers already in place and import the dxf with the dial texts already in place.

Hi, rosko,
if I don't remember the software to insert texts (and many other forms) is called type3.
However the workaround to use the dxf is definitely more interesting and fast.
