I have a problem: the text of the cartiglio on sw is correctly in Italian, then in pdf I see this:

the check is already present. If I get the same problem on quota texts, which I do not now have.
Maybe the thing is related to another problem I have with layers: often they overlap me 2 languages and I have to manually turn off what I do not use (i.e. turn on and off again).

putting arial as font I solve the problem. the point is that I would rather put the simplex on adobe for compatibility issues. You know how to tell me?

Have you tried refilling fonts and reinstalling them?
a similar thing happened to me but through illustrator, all because the fonts I used were not "true type" character;
You should try refilling and overwriting fonts and maybe it works out.
