the faculty of architecture of the University of Trieste, launched the 2010 edition of the international competition of ideas entitled “car design”.
the themes on which it is required to reflect and propose design solutions for the automobile of the future are: the encumbrance and the habitability of cars, the use in urban and extra-urban.
the car can be identified among the following types:
· dream car: beautiful and impossible;
· city car
the project must respond to the following features:
· originality;
· achievement;
· appropriate definition of both internal and external characteristics of cars, materials used and maximum sizing.
The quality of the hand graphic representation or the computer will be evaluated with particular attention.
participation is free of charge. the contest is reserved for students and graduates (short or specialized degrees or equivalent degrees) of architecture faculty, engineering faculty, design faculty, fine arts academies who have not completed more than 35 years at the date of delivery of the processed.
the proposed project must present the characters of novelty and originality.
In particular, it is necessary to ensure that there is no rights, of any kind, for third parties.
the total expected prize pool is 6 thousand euros, distributed as follows:
· first prize euro 3 thousand;
· second prize euro 2 thousand;
· third prize euro thousand.
the deadline for delivery of the documents was fixed on March 1, 2010.
