the mouse pointer while quoting does not report what i click

Hello everyone
I haven't been using solidworks for a while, and this year I started working on it.
I recalled that when I listed a table, near the mouse pointer appeared a symbol, like a line or a point, to indicate what I would click and consequently quoted, now these symbols do not appear anymore, and often thinking of clicking on a line, actually click in the void and maybe I have to delete the quota created by mistake.
It's something that makes me waste a lot of time
is there somewhere the option to highlight what will click the mouse? or is it just the result of my imagination after many years of using other software?

In fact autocad snaps are a very different thing from dynamic highlighting. In the first case a selection takes place even if you are not exactly at the right point, in the second one an entity is highlighted at the exact moment when you are touching it. seems trivial, but in some cases, the selection is not easy and dynamic highlighting helps a lot.

However thanks to mass, activating dynamic highlighting, even in the table before quotating the lenees are highlighted.
