also for the two-year period 2010-2012 the movin'up contest is in support of the circuiting of emerging Italian talents in the world, within the project de.mo. – support for the new art shop and bookshop design and the international mobility of young Italian artists.
movin’up is a call for young creatives between 18 and 35 years of age who work with professional goals and who have been admitted or officially invited abroad by cultural institutions, festivals, public and private entities to competitions, residences, seminars, workshops, internships or similar initiatives or who have in project artistic productions to be carried out at foreign centres and institutions.
the admitted artistic sectors are: visual arts, architecture, design, music, cinema, video, theater, dance, performance, writing.
reached its twelfth edition movin’up aims to:
- promote the work of Italian artists internationally through real opportunities for visibility and representation of their activities;
- support the production of the most interesting projects from the point of view of innovation and multidisciplinaryity, giving an impetus to the circuit of national artistic research in the world;
- promoting the participation of young creatives in qualified training programs, workshops, internships organized by foreign institutions that offer real opportunities for artistic and professional growth.
the initiative, realized through the allocation of an annual fund provided in sessions, allows artists to request partial support of travel and living and production costs in the host foreign city.
the contest is divided into application sessions; for the 2010 session the deadline is set for 30 September.
delivery time for applications of foreign activities is between 1 November 2010 and 30 June 2011.
