Hello, everyone. I have a doubt about the drafting of the table of a sheet for indications on laser cutting of some letters. as a final result you want to get some milk of this alphabet in thickness 10/15 (1.5mm). how can I indicate on the table to the supplier that I only need letters and not of the sheet with the mailboxes? and how can I create the design part 3d and then the design to indicate this? I'll give you a photo thanks in advance to anyone who will answer. I want to point out that it matters to me are the size of the letters and their thickness therefore that of the sheet. ps. are on solidworks

First of all we must create the letters correctly, so where there is a division, as in the Greek phi, of must create a union otherwise the letter is broken. besides this the best thing for me is to make perimeter cuts around the letters and then to join the sheet to the letters through microjunctions of some millimeter that will be cut to detach the letters. the result will be that you will have a sheet with all the letters attached and not scattered in some box.
this method tends clear to the supplier what it has to cut.

Thank you very much for the answer. as I imagined. how much would you recommend doing the offset for the perimeter cut of each letter? and would you also advise me to indicate on board to clean the edges of each letter and then leave them devoid of bave?

the offset must allow the cut to detach the letters; generally a couple of millimeters up to enough to insert the flex disc.
As for the bave depends if you want the supplier to give you the letters already detached or you want to receive the whole sheet and disconnect them; in the first case there is a risk that some letter goes lost in packing or spoils during transport, in the second you have to unmask the detachment and cleaning of the bays
