top and fitting of sweeping elements

Good morning.
I did a sweep with a spline as a director and as a section I gave him a circle.
I practically did some kind of cable.
only that at the two ends I wanted to collect it or to top it(smust), only that it does not allow me to do it.
I tried to extrude a cylinder and apply it top and fitting and here it's okay.
What does it mean that sweeping elements cannot be picked up or summitd?

if the final sections are rectified you can connect with a maximum radius equal to that of the section circle, otherwise with a slightly lower value.
