top-down modeling problems

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to model an overall with top-down logic starting from a pre-assigned basic layout.
my idea was to create an initial part of reference in which to create all the necessary plans and axes for modeling the various parts. In this way all parts, quotas, features, are referred to the initial reference.
However I think I have made some mistakes because every time I create a part and realize a sketch regarding a catia reference plan creates a new plan superimposed to the reference one. the same happens when I impose the various quotas or when I use any feature and it is also repeated for the axes. the result is that no part is really designed compared to the initial reference but they are all created compared to these plans and self-defined axes.
the final result is that the initial reference turns out to be useless and the feature tree is full of plans and axes overlapped between them that then I have to go manually to hide.
Can someone help me solve this problem?
ps. I hope I've been quite clear. in case I can provide some screenshots to better understand the problem.

hi most likely from the methodology described you are working in context mode (googla a little and you will find)
I recommend you to model the individual items separately to save them as catpart and below insert them and place them on the floors in your first file. it will remain easier to manage otherwise in context cv5 automatically creates all those auxiliary elements that weigh down the logical tree. but for cv5 is the only way to know what relationships exist within your work. working in context is convenient but it could become very complicated when editing. especially if you're at first and you don't have much time

Hello, thank you for the answer. I will try to understand well what would be this context mode. regarding other types of modeling unfortunately I cannot adopt them. is an exercise to do for the university and the track obliges me to use a top-down approach with the help of a reference part.

browsing a bit on the net I managed to partially solve the problem, going into the menu: straumenti->opzioni->infrastructure->part infrastructure->general I activated the voice “serve the connection with the selected object”. in this way all the auxiliary planes and axes that are created are grouped into the feature tree under the heading “external references”, so it is more always hiding them all and the tree acquires a less chaotic aspect.
what I was wondering is: is there no way to remove the creation of these external references altogether?

Right-clicking and isoli, but at that point you don't have any links so the basic principle you've asked makes no sense.

I understand, thank you for the answers. I think I will have to deepen this technique better because and there are still some things that I am not clear
