vector parameterization and cart constraint

Good morning to all,
I would have a few unresolved issues a bit banal but I can't find the key to solving it. .

1. then we start from the most banal... I can't do a cart constraint, basically to do a test I had made a very trivial beam with shell elements type x=1000 y=100, thickness 10 with a pressure on the upper face. bound all translations at one end I wanted in the other to allow long shift x. I set the constraints as < , 0, 0,> . a progressive shift of the long x knots should occur, but the beam seems to be stuck.

• I have to parameterize a mesh extrusion.. so actually more than anything else I have to get a vector whose length has different values. As far as I've been cuffed with fields, I can't! I can only do a vector of which a component follows some law. but I don't have any variable to tie it to, I just want it to take discreet values

any idea about my existential doubts? :finger:
