vectorworks e trasparenze

Good morning, everyone.
Given that I have been using vectorworks for years (since it was called minicad to mean us), I am now firm to the 2011basic version including renderingworks in mac environment.
I wanted to know if any of you found a solution to the problem that is generated using transparent objects in the printing phase.
What happens in fact is that some objects of the drawing around the transparent ones are printed very faded, as if there was a very annoying transparent white rectangle overlapping them.

to overcome this I had to export images (.jpg, .png .tiff....) and print those with obvious loss of time especially in the case of small corrections to be made at work.

thanks for any answers.

Hi.
It's something that should depend on the printer. I saw it happen on some lasers but never on the plotter.
tried to generate a pdf and print that?
I do.

Yes, the problem is also about pdf, but at this point I suspect that the problem is also there because pdfs are generated by the laser printer driver.
I'll get some evidence on the plotter and let you know. Thank you!

lory.b you're right.
On the plotter, the problem doesn't manifest, and the press is perfect as I see it on the monitor.
remains the problem of when you have the need to collaborate with other studies, even with laser printers of which I can't control remote prints, in which case I will have to continue sending .jpg, .png... etc. while a .pdf file keeps the vectors and has no zoom problems.
sin.
I'd be sorry if it was just a vectorworks problem that is a program I'm fond of.

thanks lory.b again.

In my ignorance of the matter, I can say that transparencies are always limited because they put in crisis the reps of many printers. They are beautiful, you can make shadows without having to resort to retini (as our colleagues on autocad do) but, sometimes, they give problems.
try to send pdf around, not all printers behave like this!

That's true. with transparencies you can do many things and you can get graphic effects that often make the difference.
I will continue to use the export raster files when I do not have direct control of the printing phase.
