Bye to all,

My name is gorea, I've been writing for a while to cad3d.it.

I would need some advice and tips for vectorworks.

premise :
I am a designer of electric plants and have always worked with autocad or specific applications for the electric part with motor cad (usual interface, usual commands and usual things...).
I recently changed my job (always as an electric designer), here using vectorworks, the program is not bad. I like it and I saw that it has a lot of potential especially for bim design.

I'm looking for guides for the electric part but I'm trying to find something, would you tell me if they exist?

I would also need your opinion.
in the new office are thinking of changing software, then switch from vectorworks to a specific application cad for the electric.
According to me with the potential of vectorworks, the years that the office has invested for the preparation of all standards, etc... I do not think it is worth changing design software.

What do you think? :

thanks for your feedback

greetings

Andrea

I am sorry to see only now your thread but strangely I have never been notified, yet interventions on vectorworks are really rare.
the software is more oriented on the architectural and scenic design (spotlight). I would say that it is understandable to want to go on a more specific one for the electrician.
I do.
