hello to all, I am trying to perform with patran some vibration analysis of a structure excited by a motor in order to calculate the correct configuration of the insulation system. the structure consists of a tubular frame and the motor mounted on it, first I realized a two-dimensional model of the frame with shell elements, while the engine was modeled as a "lumped" type dot mass connected to the frame with rbe2.
I then realized a normal mode analysis with the sol 103 to determine the own frequencies of the system and the modal mass participations. of the motor I own instead the regimes of minimum maximum and speed of cruise, these three frequencies are very close to the first three ways of vibrating the structure and to start I would like to get a chart that can show the phenomenon of resonance in the absence of damping. How to proceed? I thought of a sol111 but I think I'm wrong to set it up.
I insert as load the acceleration of gravity on the engine mass but then how to insert the frequencies corresponding to the rotation regimes?
thanks to anyone who can help me
