view layer effect on the piece

hi! I wondered if there was a program that showed the effect of building in layers of the piece. as I have understood depending on the position I can have a more or less evident grading of certain parts. I have noticed that it is often difficult to explain to those who make me the piece which are the details I care about most... and anyway I would like to have, as a customer, greater control over this aspect.

the information is never too much at the beginning of any work, according to the toyota method you should work with the 70-30 proportion i.e. dedicate 70% of the time to specify, detail, plan and share the specifications and then 30 to "make".
in the specificity of rapid prototyping it is necessary to know the aspects that lists as, for what concerns me since mold in thermoplatic (abs), behavior is anisotropic and therefore aesthetics and mechanical characteristics depend much on how the piece is oriented in the room.

to give way to view the model and print layers as required, you could do as from attached images (shown to video from the processing program).
in red you can notice the layers (slicing) of material storage, in white the file model loaded : in this case, for running speed, I used a definition of 0.254, but you can do better. of course less is slicing and better will be the definition, at the expense of the cost.

Thanks for the answer... perfectly in agreement with the toyota method. What program do you use? kind of magical materials? But I doubt that for me, that I am the one who makes prototypes do, there is something freeware to allow me to do this evaluation.
