good morning to all I am faced with a problem that is to represent a struttua of the type to portal, and I have a beam that I represent in ansis with beam element that at its end has an internal hinge how can I express it in ansis? ? ?
I cannot use the usual command i.e. block ux and uy in constrain otherwise the hinge would be bound externally instead the hinge must move, i.e. the beam must be free to rotate connected to the adjacent beam but it is not connected to the ground. .
not s if I explain the internal zipper does not give me origins to binding reactions

Perhaps you could try to use the command that imposes linear relations between the nodal movements, as I think I understand it is your case. you must impose on the two knots i and j that constitute the hinge and therefore are coincident:

read the help on the command, but the two instructions that bind the two nodal shift components between the nodes of the zipper should be:
c,1,0 (relative movement long x null),n°nodo i,ux,1(multiple movement of the first knot),n° nodo j,ux,1

ce,2,0 (relative movement long y nullo),n°nodo i,uy,1(multiplicative substance of the shift of the first node),n° nodo j,uy,1
