good morning forum,
a quick question: if a supplier uses visi cad (I don't know the version) and sends me a project in .stp format, why don't I see any shared part?
Where is the problem, in visi, in the step transformation, or any missing parameter?

Hi, I try to give you an answer... but I'm not sure.
I often open steps where there are supposedly parts that were originally shared (at least I think because perfectly equal) but in the import I find them all different parts and not shared, but it is not always so. I don't know what it depends on.

every time it matters a step, it generates a 3d object compatible with modeling and assigns it a new id, so if you import twice the same step he sees them as different objects, but all the details within a step group, when they are imported keep the "condition" within the group, if they are then shared in different groups probably not
