Hello everyone is a new user of the site, as well as a new revit user for now 2009.
I have two questions to ask you:

1)When I create a level -1 basement, at altitude -2.70m, drawing with generic wall my basement then I can't view the boundary on level 0. How can I do that? is there any option to activate?

2) I have to make a brick wall with two arches, what is the best method?

thank you so much and I hope to improve soon for now I am just at the basic level that you can not:-)

bye, place yourself in the view of your level 0, in the properties of the view swipe up to the voice below, there should be no one, open the curtain and select your level -1 basement.

Thanks stefano, I try and let you know, for the second problem you have suggestions to give me?

...
verify that the wall reaches (or intersects) level 0

....
2) I have to make a brick wall with two arches, what is the best method?
for brick coating (linear):
- simple : use the "motives" of wall surface
- complex (3d) uses the "extrusions/scanalations" of the walls.

on the brick coating, arched, the process ( quite complex) requires good knowledge to the use of the "families" .
If necessary, it seeks in previous discussions, where the subject, in part, has already been dealt with.

p.s. according to the use of a dated version, 2009, it is possible that the possible use of commands, is different from the current one (2012)

p.p.s. I invite you to open a discussion with one subject, and with proper title. If the arguments are more than one, open so many specific discussions, not before checking that in the forum the same topic has been discussed/treated, with the "search in the forum" function (see the discussion in evidence " forum rules").

The tip was perfect, thank you stefano, you were very kind.
if you can give me a hint on how to make arches on a wall that must be brick, you would be a myth:-)

Thank you.
alessandro

Yes gfrank, you're right, thanks to you, I'm actually turning on the forum to figure out how to make the wall and arches.
I apologize if I break with questions that may seem trivial but as I said they are at the beginning both with the program and with the forum.

I must say that the part that I am currently more complex to understand is precisely the part related to families.
However all in all is quite intuitive software, although coming from autocad I have some difficulty getting into the logic of work of revit...but it is only from a week that I installed it:-)

hi, for the wall I can not give you better indications than those provided by gfrank, which remains the top!!
...in fact I'm not much better than you as I know about the software. . .
Say hi.
