hello to all,
I just signed up. I apologize for the banality of the question but I am really illiterate in the fact of 3d; I hope to be in the right section.

I have to create a 3d of a historic building, specifically a sort of split where the building elements must be visible (setting some images to make the idea of how it should be). must be at 50 therefore you will see well also floors, bricks, cover coat, etc.
I have barrel vaults that are very irregular, being an ancient building.

What 3d modeling program do I want to learn how to use? I thought autocad, for convenience, since I already have it. But then one of my acquaintances told me that it would be better for a drawing like that. Now I'm a little confused.

What program would you recommend me for such a design?

Thank you!img061.webpimg075.webp

you can use autocad, but I think rhino is a valid alternative, like many others for example 3d studio max and sketchup.

while being all interdisciplinary programs, everyone has its strengths. from your question I assume that you study architecture or engineering. in your field, in the professional field, the design is done a little with autocad and especially with parametric programs like archicad or allplan etc. of course with rhino or with 3d studio max.

However, these are used in the production of photorealistic renderings that you see attached to many projects. so if this aspect interests you then start using these software.

otherwise it is better to focus on autocad.

invce archicad, allplan, revit are not suitable to realize the design in question. in the profession would build the model with 3d studio max or autocad and would import it.

is a post almost 4 years ago, of a person who wrote only once that he did not even have to answer gil

4 years ago, but interesting.
the work in question is the classic bread for autocad. also rhinoceros or otherwise cad similar.
