happens to someone else besides me to be able to give any color to an element except white (in the sense that if you give white to an element this remains clear girgio both in solidworks and in rendering of photowork)? I just want to know if it's just like this or it's my copy/video card that makes cilecca (but it happens on two different pcs...).

I think it's normal.
did you try to change the lights or the environment? Maybe light gray is the effect of what you chose.

But it is not that white is not white... is the effect of the shadow in the shaded mode for the purpose, which makes it look grey.
If there were no shadows of different intensity on differently oriented surfaces, you would not have a perfect "three-dimensional effect" , but it would appear all "flat".
If you drop a little bit with the intensity of the lights, like that environment bringing it to the maximum, see that the white really dwells white, but the effect on the various faces of the model you get is certainly not the maximum.
