win7 64bit e plotter

Good morning to all, I have a problem on the plotter designjet800 with win7 64bit, lawfully I can no longer print anything from modeling or drafting,
the plotter remains in a sort of stand-by for 20 minutes, wasting a lot of paper and very slow printing.
Has anyone of you already had this problem? ? ?
Can you give me some advice? ? ?

I think it's a question of drivers not optimized for the 64bit environment.

If I were there physically, I would remove the paper roll and do some tests with single sheets a4, using native drivers contained in win7, type hpgl/2, designjet 5x/6xx/7xx/8x etc.

for each driver, print the windows test page, time switching from the click (click) to the output of the printed sheet.

is a generic driver that works very well
even if sincerely I do not remember if esite for x64 systems

with windows xp 32bit the plotter worked only with the driver of the dj500 v5.35, with its never worked.
I also updated the firmware but nothing changed! ! !

in the printer properties in advanced options you have the option to choose whether to process data in the printer or pc, try to put processing in the pc.

I also had a similar problem with a graphic program.
I solved the problem by iconizing the program immediately after confirming the press.

seems as if someone had "pasticized" with the hardware panel emulations on the plotter.. .

without knowing how to read or write, manual to the hand, I would reset the plotter to factory settings, and I would physically connect to it with a notebook (better via usb, while by jetdirect and crossover cable you will need a computer colleague).

I would do printing tests with both the original drivers and recent ones from the hp site, until you find the "choice".
