wrap spiral text on cylinder

good evening to all, I have to do a job I thought banal but so it is not (at least I can't and googlando find nothing ad hoc):

I have a cylinder on which I have to wrap a writing, not only along the axis or only diametrically (i.e. do not make the text and use coils) but spiral.
would be like a sweeping winding to understand us, given the cylinder I have to orientate the text with a tilt date and wrap it around the cylinder with a spiral ramp.
to make everything more difficult there is the fact that it must be by force text since we should make several bars with different text for each of these.
I don't know if the explanation was clear, I hope so and that someone can give me a tip....I brancolo in the dark but the owner said I can (I nicknamed it easy.it :biggrin

I don't know if I understand, but I don't think you need to shake the spiral. it is enough that you impose the line along which you create the angular text compared to the axis of the cylinder with the same angle of the spiral that will have to follow. idem for the starting point of the basic line of the text, which you will position on the appropriate level.

hi massive the winding function I also have in 2016 but it does not allow me to select spheres and toridals. could just write by following a propeller but it doesn't allow me to select the propeller... other way I don't know ... and you?

(the other discussions: one with 2016 the macro does not export = is not useful - the other I had to solve quickly by paying semi manual solution by sending the study with definitive solution next time )

from 2017 onwards it is definitely more performing by spreading the sketch on a flat surface. here the speech is more complex because there is also the warning, but surely there is that with 2016 you will never manage to do it with that function (maybe you will not succeed in doing it in any way)

@massivonweizen I thank you 1000 times both for your courtesy in always responding to both the work that you do here on the forum, I assure you that, all the times I do not answer and that maybe I do not thank, it is not by the will to waste time to others or for lack of esteem.
It is probable that I am less organized than others and I always find myself looking for running solutions, sometimes it happens that the proposed solution is not applicable or I cannot exploit it in time and therefore must find different solutions and then steps to other, this, please trust you, it does not mean I did not appreciate or that, maybe after months or years I will take it back and sometimes conclude it f i n to l m and n t and thanking.

I certainly understand that my contribution appears much more often in the demands than in the answers, but, I want to hope, are at least requests that may interest others too.

I also realize the doubles I often create, even in this case I apologize and I ask to believe it is not superficial, only that sometimes it is difficult to find the same topic (certain, a clear title would help everyone, even if I find the thread - I try to create it, I swear, sometimes I can't).
