Hello everyone,
Who explains the concept of wtpart?
I saw pdmlink reviews 9.1 but I couldn't understand the concept well.
if I just have to manage cad documents (epm documet in pdmlink 9) wtparts to what do I need?

Thank you, but I can't figure out what I need.
I am used to intralink 3.4 using metadata but I would need a practical example of these wtparts as they say that they can be created separatemant and not necessarily to a cad document.
What do you mean?

we use wtparts, to export in a document csv the attributes of the document cad, and then from the csv we process the data according to what we need to get (usually we get all the documentation iso 9001).

you must see wtparts as a representation of cad documents containing attributes and other information.

technical_plast thanks for the answer. Now the concept is clearer to me.
I wanted to ask you something: according to you it is possible with pdmlink to make sure that when I do the approval of the cad design and step-by-step automante release is generated a pdf file and a dwg and is placed in a shared folder for example of a server?

interesting the thing you do: could also be useful to create the distinct base once you create the document cad.

other thing: according to you, on intralink 9.1 (not pdmlink ) you can do these 2 things
or the workflow is blocked and not editable?

I honestly don't know how to answer these questions, I'd risk saying crap, you should feel the ptc or maybe your reseller.
