year project, tips and tips

Hello everyone, I have just begun to follow the course of mechanical technology and the professor has assigned us the following piece (I attach you as photo) in order to draft an annual project (I also attach the model).
Honestly, without certain explanations, being able to do such a job from scratch, it is difficult, especially for those who totally lack experience. I hope you can give me a hand in order to pass this exam thank you in advance

the material assigned to us by the professor is the following to 6061.

the first point that the professor expects us is the field of use of the piece and modes of use, and honestly I have no idea where it can be employed, could you help me? :

Well the attached pdf is the indication of what they have to do with this piece:
- use
- material choice
- processing and cycle signs
- working time etc.
