hello to all
I had a problem today that I'd never met.
to copy a drawing(.iam, .ipt) with its .idw
I always used the project file manager.
you go on action, you choose copy, then edit files and then put the new file name.
I've repeated this a lot of times.
Today instead when I go to create a new file and go on edit, I write the file name and he goes to create it as .dwg instead of as .idw as it always was. Why?
What should I change or set?

I can't tell you why he does this, but why not just do it as an inventor, opening the design and then doing "save copy by name..."?

because with the project manager keeps you connected idw and iam...

even with "Save copy with name" remain connected... in 5 years I use inventor, never used the project manager for drawings, but only for the management of assemblies and parts and I never had problems.
