I have been using for about a year solidworks standard version, lately I have been presented the need to make some renders.
I asked a quote to my dealer for an upgrade to the professional version, but the cost is definitely very high for the use of the only engine to render.
At this point I would like to ask you if it was possible to purchase only photoworks or some other engine to make decent and at a reasonable price.
any of you know maxwell render?
What do you think?

I know the upgrade from standard to professional was about 1500 euros or something more.
do a search in this forum recently, but I do not remember when, it was discussed of other rendering programs that work separately from swx and import native files.
