Hello, my problem is as follows:
I have a design with different blocks of different sizes, even very small and I would need to select all the blocks of the same type.
some time ago I had downloaded this useful program (that allego) that was used to select all the blocks of the same type in a drawing or the layer of belonging of the block depending on whether I wrote sb or sl, but all happened via mouse.
Since some blocks in my design are hardly identifiable, you could not change the attached program that besides selecting a mouse block is able to accept the block name also inserted by keyboard?
same thing for the layers of belonging.
Thank you in advance.

do you not want to use the selerapid command? by indicating the block name you select them all.

Well, with selerapid I would open a dialog box where I have to select various parameters and various types of object, but I need a quicker thing that just selects me blocks and be able to write the block name that I need to search instead of selecting it from a list with more than 100 similar names would be more convenient for me.

This is what a solution of other times is:

type ssx (+ 2 times sending)
b (+ sending)

type the block name (+ 2 times send)

:

the command works but does not select them and does not highlight them, it just counts them.
otherwise it was more than good.
here is the output window:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
command: ssx

select object <none>:

enter option filter </none>[Block
name/Color/Entity/Flag/LAyer/LType/Pick/Style/Thickness/Vector]: b

>>enter block name to add <return remove="" to="">: pippo

current filter: ((2 . "pippo"))
enter filter option </return>[Block
name/Color/Entity/Flag/LAyer/LType/Pick/Style/Thickness/Vector]:

34 found.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this case he tells me that there are 34 blocks with the name "pippo" but he doesn't show me where.

Sure, because the selected set is put in the autocad buffer.

to "see", you must answer p to the request for selection of objects.

Yes but they are always two commands:
(1) ssx, 2 times sending, b, block name
(2) Selez, p

instead with the program should be
- sb, pippo

then I noticed that with Selez the blocks are held while the sb displays the grips and so I can also know with a zoom reduced their location.

I just tried. Good.
thanks to rpor66 for the modified lisp and thanks to cadlandiano e plannerroad per i consigli.

I forgot, and then I don't rock anymore:wink:
I would also need to select layers, as mentioned at the beginning.
Thank you.
