imported solid reconstruction

Hello I would like to know if with the latest versions of inventor you can reconstruct an imported solid, as does solidworks.
Is there a similar command of the featureworks (solidworks) in inventor?

Yes, it is a command that should call itself "feature recognize", until some version ago you had to download it from the autodesk site and then launch it, probably already since 2011 is included in the basic installation.

I reopen this old discussion....but in inventor 2011 is there a feature recognition or do I always install the application of labs? ?
I have solidworks files to open but it always opens them as solid and I can't rebuild the modeling tree.

if you think of this feature allows you to "low" the relics of inventor, in fact if you save in step with the 2011 version, you open it with inventor 11 and most of the works recognize it because coming from inventor.

It's not entirely true.
or better, it is true in theory
In practice, if the part is complicated the feature reconizer does not make it. or at least, this is what happened to me with 2009

There are certain limits, even because the most recent relics have new commands for which the work done with such commands, during reconnaissance are not recognized or at least transformed into other works.

if you see in the labs this feature is also for 2011.... so you already have the answer

However the feature recognize does not do miracles, indeed, for the little that I used it, beyond the simple figures, often makes confusion. . .

tarkus I know but unfortunately a bega has happened and the only available format that I have underhand is that of solidworks and as I am working from a client who has inventor you also understand that a help even minimal is convenient especially when there is to do everything of running. I thought in 2011 it was already implemented and I was looking for it in the menus but you see that I smoked something maybe because I know that the programs released by the inventors
