Hello

for a series of needs I must realize 3d symbols to be inserted in the walls. the realization of the symbol and modeling is not a problem.
the problem is this: I have to realize an opening that in the wall forms a sguincio (it says so?) but obviously if I realize only the opening the cut in the plant is perpendicular. I can somehow recalculate the shape in the plant, model it and assign this form to the 3d symbol so that in planting the wall (and also in 3d) is modeled correctly?

you must shape a solid with the desired shape and insert it into the wall as a wall recess, which in Italian should be "create niche in the wall".
I do.

how do I control the shape in 3d and how do I manage the different categories of solid?

Good question! I can't answer you so without being in front of the file eh! ;-)
how to shape a shape depends only on what you have to build.
However, a symbol composed of several solid elements belonging to the same categories is not a problem to build. I usually create nested categories. for example: external-glass locks; external-mounting locks; etc... so you have greater control during printing.
If you have a way to appear online, I'll see some concrete examples:-)

then, I managed to do this

that with regard to this door is fine.
But if for example you have to control the shape of the top of the niche (and add an arc for example? )

edit the object you entered into the wall and change the shape.
I put you some screenshots of a 3d of a historic building, where I had to ingegnate to find the solution that brought me as close as possible to the real.
In this case I always used vw windows.
I used a lot of wall-recess and then I inserted the windows. the two things can live happily.
I do.

No, maybe there's a point I miss. if I niche the creo with a 2d polylinea because you can do only in plant, how do the 3rd dimension?

mh.? I create niches with objects shaped in the three dimensions.
Do you need two-dimensional? !

No, but never take anything for granted. I didn't realize you could use 3d objects and symbols

I've got it.

So I apologized, I didn't understand, and I assumed you were talking about 3d objects.
