I'll throw what I'd try to do.
1) design my core;
2) I create a part of derived sheet metal and carry out the essential parameters of the screw in that part;
3) design the development of the helid step as sketch, etc. etc. using imported parameters;
4) I put this part in the table, which will be so connected to the main parameters of the original and therefore parametric auger.
