Hello.
A colleague of mine tells me that he increased his laptop with s.o. 32bit, the ram, bringing it from 2 to 4 gb. does not notice differences in inventor, in the sense that on the bottom bar to right the sum between the used and the available is always about 1.5 gb.
tried to activate the pae function (found on the internet) and also increased the paging file to 5gb, but always inventor the same values.
Do you have any suggestions or any procedure to resolve this?

thanks in advance.

f1 -> search ->3gb
the description is exhaustive, but look at the limitations below. in fact it says it only works on xp but in the explicitly quoted exclusions you miss sight, so... boh!

on a computer the thing gave me really good results, on another one I was planning a little everything (not only inv). the only one is to try, as at the time confirmed the dealer.

32-bit windows difficultly behaves decently when the busy ram arrives at 2 gb.
for a 32-bit system, windows does not see more than 3 gb of rams, of which it seems to me that one reserve it for itself (including hw drivers) and the rest for applications.

there would actually be the 3 gb switch, but it could be a worse remedy than evil:
http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=23449The final solution is to switch to a 64-bit system.

win xp shows you 3,3 gb of the 4 gb installed

some software, such as catia, exceeded 1,5 gb of allocated memory, then close the same limit can have inventor.
