Hello, everyone.
in recent days I have received a set in step format from our supplier.
the ashem in step format is 350000 kb. the time to open this file is approx. 10min. I should put this together in another set of my creation. doing this all is very slow. How can I do to make it all faster?

Thank you. .

in my opinion you could try with the simplified contour (part of the detail levels).

This night I tried to save with pack and go. now the axieme has become faster. However, by doing this savage a huge 4gb folder has been created. in the different new folders I see that the library appeared. Can I cancel?

4gb's folder contains all the components files of your set, collecting everything you have scattered in the meanders of your pc.
has become faster because now knows where to fish the files on the fly.
the folder of the library you could delete it, being a double of what you already have in your center contents + various custom libraries.( deletion of these files could again slow everything if to the question below answer no:biggrin: )
Have you set your project file well?

Bye.

But I have to say that by deleting the library, it doesn't seem to me that it became slower. (I didn't time everything... )
What do you mean by setting the project?

the project file must be well done, with the correct pointing to the directories.
Unfortunately it is not a standard thing but depends on how everyone works in their own reality, so it is difficult to say so or so.

Hi. .
in these days I have resumed working on this complex together... .
I tried to simplify as much as possible by deleting the parts I don't need.
Unfortunately when I insert the assembling on the drawing sheet it takes an eternity.
How can I do to make the operation faster?
Thank you. .

If you have set up detail levels you can specify them when you enter the views, suppressing how much you don't need. However inventor in the table is slow and just, there is no escape in the pre-2012 releases. it seems that in 2012 the thing changes a lot (I have not tried in person) because you use multi-core prosessor, but for others... Coffee break!
