I would like to ask everyone that I am a neophyte of the program, so I don't want to pose excessively trivial problems, but it's a day I'm working and I can't get out of certain situations. In fact, I'm trying to draw a very simple liner, to take confidence with the program. On the architectural side, we proceed decently, but I'm finding problems with the structure of the building. My procedure to create it, from the import of a basic carpentry in dwg, was this:
1)open new file and dwg file amount
2) I insert the basic families that I need making them from "structures" in "metric library" (in this case simply beams in cls rectangular section and pillars rectangular section)
3) duplic and educated with the characteristics I need (e.g. beams 65 30, pillars 40 40, with relative structural characteristics)
4) ground grid design of fixed wires
5) insert the pillars
6) I insert beams

right as a procedure? between the problems I have encountered during the work in particular:
a) management of the beams, which planimetrically speaking are found to me, but that I cannot put at the desired quota. In fact, I automatically set up the "work plan in the properties at lv 0" in automatic without the possibility to change this setting, nor to set it differently in the phase of insertion, when instead to complete the frame I would need to insert them to level 1, so to have the classic "door" when for now the beam is born exactly below the base plan of the pillars
b) the beams themselves do not appear in the prospective views, and I cannot understand why

premitting that I have a student version of revit, I wait for clarifications and thank you in advance.

there should also be the level of ownership of the beam. You probably put the beams in the ground floor view. shift them to the right level by changing the "work plan"

try to change the level of detail, from low to medium (or high)

perfect!!! With regard to the insertion of the beam you just had to work on level 1, your suggestion was enlightening. One thing I don't understand, however, is that in the trave property there is "work plan" but it turns out to be blocked, to make me understand, I can't through the properties, pass the beam from one level to another.
with regard to the prospective view, nothing to do, even changing the level of detail, on the preset prospects the structure is not displayed to me
As for the procedure, how is iter right?
thank you so much tristan for the delucidazioni

ok, I also solved to change quota, in fact when selecting the beam from the 3d appears the structural frame modification panel > change plan of work
from them you manage the quota

was what I meant:wink:
