Hello, everyone! I press that I am new to the forum, so apologize for any errors in posting messages or other.

I would need to make video explosions and/or fittings of the various pieces within an assembly, and I wanted to understand well or badly what programs are best suited to the purpose. I personally used (at university) only academic versions of solid edge and catia, I know of pro-e fame but I never used it, after which my software knowledge stops here. where I work now I do not use drawing programs yet.

I remember in solid edge the automatic function of explosion, and in catia the possibility of making videos, but I never deepened... has someone already had a similar problem and has a clear and complete overview on the issue?

thank you all in advance, hello!

Maybe I've asked too much about "clear and complete panoramic" ... I'm fine with a few tips, too, eh

there are products that, starting from data cad, create that type of documents (sequences and assembly cycles):
- siemens - tcvis illustrator
- ds - 3dvia
- ptc - arbortext
But if you just have to make a video they're a bit disproportionate.
Maybe you need a cad + camouflage? :mixed:

which cad generates engineering data?

thank you for the answer first.
As I told you, now I don't use cad yet, you're evaluating whether to leave and with what. Obviously therefore the data output format would be a useful parameter in the choice. another useful parameter could also be the cost (secondary though), but I read that for example there are pro-e licenses (which I know to be the best) to a few hundred euros (private license), so you could integrate with the abortext you were talking about (always ptc); I don't know the prices of a license. Now I try cmq to inform me about the programs you mentioned.

If you have to animate a simple explosion with solidworks you can do everything. If you want instructions in the state of art you can use one of the other products mentioned, created specifically to create interactive documentation. if you try to look at youtube you find demonstration videos of the products mentioned by the matrix, but keep in mind that these software cost as much as a cad and to use them you still need a 3d model already made.

excuse feder.. .
cost is a secondary parameter and then do speeches like the one highlighted?
a "private" license what is it?
there are "official" licenses (which have a certain type of cost) and "academic" licenses (which have a very low cost), but cannot be used for productive or business purposes.

Maybe you better think about what you need: the "scorciatoies" are not really well accepted usually.

Yeah, you're probably right, better understand what I need first.

for the license speech I also knew the two main types, that is the version of type "corporate" and the academic one, but I had also read of the existence of a third option, that is "private" licenses (that is, you can buy yourself to use at home) and that they could therefore be used (this solely mine hypothesis) only until the moment when you do not use them directly for a product. example Stupid fool.: I want to have a design program cad because I'm comfortable studying the layout of furniture inside a room, but because I won't sell the design object I'm not obliged to have a corporate license. I repeat, I'm not a fool. Is there anything like that?

Yeah, you're probably right, better understand what I need first.

For all I know, there is no cad. there is no distinction between home student and professional as in the case of office packages e.g.
the fact that a software is intangible allows some houses to be able to do certain things.
Sorry anyway I came a little laugh reading your post, thinking about going to a dealer and asking if there is price difference between a car for 'private' uses and one for 'business' uses... and if I take a family for business uses?

If you don't make any profit, you need to take the student edition license that you can just buy at the store on the ptc website.http://store.ptc.com/drhm/store?action=displayproductdetailspage&siteid=ptc&locale=it_it&env=base&productid=207544200you can use it for educational and private purposes, files you generate will never be read by commercial licenses.

so you can have pro/e and max mathcad, no arbortext, windchill and other products of the ptc suite.

greetings
