hi to all, I wanted to know if in pro and it is possible to make the full voids and vice versa, that is to get the soul of the model.

thanks to all

ps: if someone wondered why I opened the same discussion in the solidworks section is because I have the model both in .prt and in .sldprt, I hope that at least one of the two programs is able to carry out this operation.

the regulation provides that you should submit to other users before placing questions.

1) pro/e files have extension .prt.1, .prt.2 ... etc. etc. etc. if the file is a simple .prt is a nx file.

if the file is pro/e you have two possible routes (maybe there are others that now do not come to mind).
the concept is that of the Boolean subtraction.

if you have the module advanced assembly extension publish the geometry of the part and then copy it to a new part where you created a solid.
Once copied you can subtract it to the previously created solid to get the "negative" ... a little like you do for plastic molds.

the second method (this is enough the foundation license), is to create a set, insert a content part a solid, insert the part to be subtracted and then the function "operation with the components" will subtract the second part from the first.

hi maxopus,
I have inserted the geometry published in another part but now I can't find the command that allows me to subtract the geometry published in the new part.......where should I look?

Thank you.

As the publication of geometry consists of surfaces, you must use the "solid" command within which there is the option for subtraction.
