Bye to all,
are here to write because of a problem related to printing with the software and hardware indicated in the title.
I did a search in the forum and found some hints at my problem but no solution.
I press that I just made an update of pc, passing to win7 64bit and autocad 2011.
on the pc I installed the driver for the plotter, downloaded through windows update, perfectly working with autocad 2007.
from 2011 instead the driver is not selectable, appears in the curtain but is not selected and returns to "no one".
someone solved this problem, how much did I already know?
I don't know where to go banging my head anymore.

Thank you.

Hi.
I successfully installed the indicated driver, I launched the press normally but the plotter gave me the following message:

warning 61:05
error during the print elab. the print queue will be eliminated.

I give some more info: the plotter is connected to a print server (with its specific ip address). I also kept old driver not to stay without the possibility to print from cad 2007, could it give some conflict?

suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

Hi.
I tried to reinstall the drivers for scruples and noticed that the specific one for the designjet 500 42" is not there, the most similar ones listed are the designjet 500plus 42" (from me installed and generating the warning 61:05) and the designjet 500 42" + hpgl2 card.
what could be the compatible one?

Thank you.

I also tried with the designjet 500 42" + hpgl2 card but nothing, usual message. . .

Okay, I'll try again in the morning when I get to the office.
I hope to solve it. . .

Thanks again and I will let you know the outcome.

I solved! Thank you!
the problem was caused by the presence of the printer previously used for autocad 2007. after removing it I installed the driver posted by rpor66 and finally the right device appeared.

Thank you very much!

I apologize but I did the same but I did not solve the problem of compatibility with 2012 autocad: selecting the printer just installed "hp designjet 500 42 by hp" continues to return to "no one".
Did you solve this problem? If so, how?
Thank you.

hp 500 24" with autocad lt 2010, I installed the drivers indicated by "rpor66" and finally disappeared no one in favor of hp designjet 500 24 by hp, but it does not recognize me the "subposto pdf", no press them and does not show them even in preview phase.
is the problem solved? or I have to implement the plotter ram and insert a hp gl/2 card to better support pdf....how was I indicated by a supplier? thanks for the attention.

Hi.
2012 autocad use with windows 7 and I have the same problems as above: select the hp designjet 500 and switch to 'no'.

I tried with your suggestions: I uninstalled the hp, downloaded the recommended and unzipped driver, tried to reinstall the printer.

the problem arises here: windows 7 searches for network printers (work with pcs and printers in the company network), creates a list and when selecting the printer to add it automatically loads the corresponding driver.

I tried to see the manual modification options of the drivers, but in the windows 7 lists the installed hp is not seen.

I don't know windows 7 since I still work with xp, but instead of trying to find the network printers, you can't install it directly as a new printer, give it your drivers and then ip address as a tcp port?

I've been trying to get out of here for an hour! I tried to recover the latest drivers available, now I'm trying to put into practice all the tips read, including your...

seemed to have solved the problem, but when I opened the window 'custom property' to change the sheet format I appeared this message:
"the address of the function 0x2acc24dd caused a protection error (exception code 0xc0005). the property pages may not be displayed"

now I'm trying to uninstall everything again and reinstall hoping to read the drivers I just downloaded.

Eureka!

But now when I open the 'print' window, the one relating to the management of print styles to be assigned to the drawing is not displayed. .

I'm trying to see all system variables to see what makes plot styles management visible during the print screen.

You're right! actually solutions are always the simplest (and especially under the eyes...).

Well, now I'm operational, thank you all!

I reconsider the discussion. . I highly hope that any of you will give me an answer. I use the already mentioned plotter hp 500 24", and with autocad lt 2010 "print" first in .pdf or .eps format and then rework the file and print from other software. I recently installed the 2013 autocad lt verasone and trying the print directly does not recognize the plotter, which selected in the appropriate drop-down menu, reports the printer on the status "no one".
I have sought on the net solutions on this merit, but vainly. At this point I doubt that there is some sort of incompatibility (I highly hope to be wrong) and that the plotter is not "updated" with the drivers (those I downloaded and installed from the hp site work well with all programs, except autocad lt 2010 and 2013). windows is version 7 pro 64bit. Did someone have the same problem and help me? thanks to the support.

Say hi.

Say hi.
tried, instead of the latest available (which is not said to be the best), to install the original drivers provided with the plotter?

I don't have the original drivers! ! !
I bought the plotter last year, refurbished, and for the drivers I was told to download those windows update...I followed what indicated by the dealer and with all other programs it works perfectly (eg. photoshop, archline xp 2012, bricscad 9, etc.).
the problem was born on autocad lt 2010 and now on the 2013 version.:frown:
