5x brake problem

Hello psycomantis

I've been using catia cam for several years and I don't think it's a problem of cam but machine, cmq revisit the geometry that makes sckif... all spigolosa and not in tangenza full of ridges already by itself!!!!! try to make it fluid and tangent.

then as for me this is a workmanship that should be made to 3 axes maximum 4 axes with a tilt of 1.5°... with processing tolls 0.02mm the 5 axles is absolutely not recommended and inappropriate

Greetings

I also agree that the piece is prepared for processing in 3 axes and not in 5 but for testing it is good done also in 5

beyond the geometry that to make a good cam the surfaces must be perfect, in catià there is some way to limit the tilting and make the path more "linear"?

In my opinion, adjusting these two parameters is solved 70% of the problem of that processing, beyond the machine and the control it mounts.

hello marangon

you have the possibility to either make the tilt fixed 1.5° or what you prefer by moving only the axis to how tilt or make the tilt fixed to 1.5° but this normal tilt to the surface ... we always talk to activate the 4 axis though

Hey, guys, I'll get you some!
today came the Belgian technician with a programmer and processed my geometry with his van (delcam)
the workmanship came out better but still presents grooves as it happened to me.
something I noticed that his program was more fluid than mine, mine occasionally from barrels.
I think it's a limit of the machine and control.

I'll keep you updated! !

a last tip, in the company are thinking of taking a new 5 axes working center and I demanded as control the siemens, who uses it for 5x processing?

Thank you.

Hi.
If changing the cam things change, I'd say it's not all the car's fault.
Do you know if the Belgian technician tried the option of the dot slip cam?
sometimes it helps not to mark the piece

what do you mean infitting points processing tolerance or other:confused: explain this option

Let's see.
Some control calls it nanometric redistribution.
in a few words:
50 mm straight stroke can be defined with
- 2 points
- a g2 or g3 arc (e.g. 50000 mm)
- a series of points

in all these ways and according to the degree of accuracy you want to achieve you can respect a tolerance.
some controls need close points even if useless from the geometric point of view.
this to contain and to manage the accelerations and slowdowns of the machine dynamics
to me happens with an integrex and with some controls fanuc

Bye-bye.
next week he's going to see a new work center, give me some tips? What do you have to take into account?

Thank you.

Hello psycomantis
the cut used for processing is a torica d6?
What radius does it have?

Thanks soon
