i can't change the character with the brush

in autocad 2007 when I had to change a character with two writings given for example a made with arial and one with times, I clicked with brush, changes propitiousness, instead with autocad 2010 with the brush you see image I can not change the character.

with double click on a multiline text (or textm command to create it) opens the text editor from which it is possible to change fonts even to some text characters, in this way the font "locally" is changed.
